St Wenn Litter Pick

What a load of rubbish!

On a rather damp and windy day a lot of people turned up to tidy up the lovely lanes of the parish.

Merv Brockelbank started the effort in the morning, ably assisted by Dan and Harry Hewitt, then in the afternoon some twenty hardy souls turned up in the car park. Fully clad in wellies and waterproofs, bags and litter pickers at the ready, they 'fanned' out and cleared the lanes and hedges of all manner of rubbish. From buckets to bottles, plastic to polystyrene, even a Christmas tree, they bought their haul back to the car park for this photo session. A cup of tea and delicious cakes awaited their return. Despite being cold and very wet, and some good folks covered from head to foot in mud, (how did that happen?) their sense of humour had not left them.

A group photo was a 'must'. Missing from the photo is Ed Coad and his three little helpers, and Angela McKinnon. Thanks to everyone for a good turnout and a productive litter pick. I am sure you will all dry out in time!
